AST | Roll Bar / Cage | GT86 & BRZ I

Maximum safety for your Toyubaru! With AST roll cages, you can ensure the necessary safety for your motorsport use. For years, AST has been the go-to solution in motorsport for anyone who doesn't have their own cage builder. They are also very popular for tourist drives at the Nürburgring or Hockenheimring.

We offer you the complete AST product range, from rear roll bars to full cages and weld-in cells. For the GT86/BRZ, there aren't many design options. The cages all attach to the strut mounts at the rear and are all designed for an empty car (i.e., without a headliner!). The rear seat must also be removed! The counter plates should also be welded to the car to ensure the best safety.

All AST cages are generally supplied unpainted! We can offer powder coating in RAL colors upon request, but this will incur additional costs.

The variants are first divided into Motorsport and Trackday. Trackday variants are designed for occasional use and have no documentation. The Motorsport variants are manufactured according to FIA Appendix J and have this approval. This helps with registration and approval for motorsport.

Trackday variants are further divided into Rear Cage (ends behind the seats) and Full Cage (up to the A-pillar). These are all removable again (except for the counter holes in the body).

For motorsport, the V4 variant is interesting for most as a bolt-in solution. So it is also bolted, otherwise we also offer weld-in cells here.

Trackday Rear Cage V1/V2 (difference X-gusset plate behind the seats):

Semi-roll cage AST Removable Rear Cage V1 with 4 mounting points on the body, bolted to 4 reinforcement plates welded to the body. These reinforcement plates are made of 3 mm thick steel and are specially designed and manufactured for each car to achieve maximum safety and fit on the chassis. The roll cage is supplied unpainted in a welding kit and consists of a main hoop with a diameter of 45 mm made of E355 steel. The rest of the structure is made of 40 mm thick E355 steel. The structure is divided into several sections to allow for easier installation in the vehicle.

Thanks to our laser scanner technology, we guarantee an accurate 3D design that fits perfectly in your vehicle. The price of this item includes:

These structures are designed for use on public roads. Before purchasing, check the legislation of your country to see if it is possible to legally install one of these structures.

Trackdays Full Cage V2/V3 (difference X-gusset plate behind the seats):

Compared to the Rear Cages, these cages are attached at 6 points (additional front part up to the A-pillar). In addition, the Full Cages are also manufactured according to FIA Appendix J.

Motorsport V4 Bolt in:

AST Bolt In V4 roll cage with 6 mounting points on the body, bolted to 6 reinforcement plates welded to the body. These reinforcement plates are made of 3 mm thick steel and are specially designed and manufactured for each vehicle to achieve maximum safety and fit on the chassis.

The roll cage is supplied welded and unpainted and consists of a main hoop with a diameter of 45 mm made of E355 steel. The rest of the structure is made of 40 mm thick E355 steel. This structure has been designed and built in accordance with FIA Appendix J. Please check with your association/sports organization for the minimum safety requirements applicable to your vehicle, version, engine and type of test and/or championship, even if this roll cage fits all engine models.

These structures require adjustments and/or removal of interior elements of the vehicle (dashboard, door panels, upholstery, rear seats...). For the V4, you will need to adjust the dashboard and probably install additional mirrors, as the double support of the A-pillar restricts your view of your mirror.
