Cusco | Differential Brace | GR/GT86 & BRZ I & II

The CUSCO differential reinforcement brace provides additional support for the rear axle differential by connecting it to the rear axle carrier. It links the rear differential mounts to the axle carrier, thereby reducing unwanted movement of the differential housing under load.

The additional support helps provide more direct shifting response and improved traction.

Important compatibility information

For the first-generation GT86/BRZ facelift and the GR86 ZN8 and BRZ ZD8, the brace cannot be used with the standard rear sway bar. This is due to a possible collision between the mounting bolts and the sway bar. It can be used with the corresponding CUSCO sway bar. Clearance must be checked separately for sway bars from other manufacturers.

When used together with the CUSCO rear differential bearing reinforcement kits 965 928 B, their aluminum plates must be omitted in accordance with CUSCO specifications.

Installation and ride comfort

Installation must be carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions. The differential must be securely supported during installation. The CUSCO instructions for the ZN6/ZC6 also require temporarily loosening the left rear control arm.

The additional support may increase the transmission of drivetrain noise and vibration into the interior. The brace does not replace the repair of damaged bearings or mounting points.
