GKTech | Shift Gate Springs | GT/GR 86 & BRZ I&II

More shifting precision – with minimal effort.

The GKTECH Shifter Return Spring Kit replaces the standard return springs in the transmission with significantly stiffer versions. This guides the shift lever more actively into the center position and provides a noticeably more direct, mechanical shift feel.

Function and Benefit

• Stiffer return springs for improved shift feedback
• Faster return of the shift lever to the neutral position
• More precise gear guidance, especially when shifting quickly
• Significantly more "mechanical" and direct shift feel
• Ideal complement to short shifters or sporty driving

The stronger springs ensure that the shift lever is constantly under tension and that the gear gates are more clearly defined. The result is more precise and controlled shifting.

Installation

• Installation directly on the transmission housing below the shift unit
• Replacement of the original springs (plug & play)
• No special tools required
• Installation time approx. 15–30 minutes

For installation, only two screws per side on the transmission are loosened and the springs are replaced. The installation is only a little "fiddly" and requires sensitivity and patience as space is quite restricted.
