The cup intake is from the US cup setup: a larger filter and a more direct intake path – tuned for the series without ECU adjustment. The product comes from the USA, where Toyota sells the GR Performance Air Intake as an accessory (PTR03-18221).
The primary effect is sound & responsiveness. User reports show: no noticeable performance gains are to be expected; the optical/sound upgrades are paramount. There are reports from the US forum demonstrating a performance increase, but this is in the minimal range. However, it should also be said that of all the intakes on the market, this one will probably deliver the most power and is also OEM.
This is the original part imported from the USA, and you will not incur any further import duties or taxes, please consider this when comparing prices with other sites.
