JXB Performance | Driveshaft Center Bearing Upgrade

The GT86, GR86, and BRZ's stock driveshaft center support bearing mount uses very soft rubber bushings. While this reduces noise and vibration, it causes significant play in the drivetrain under load and can lead to worsened driveshaft alignment in the long term.

The JXB Performance Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Carrier Upgrade replaces the OEM mount with a significantly more stable design featuring reinforced bearing inserts. This keeps the driveshaft precisely centered even under high loads, which is particularly noticeable during rapid load changes, spirited driving, and performance upgrades.

Many drivers report a more direct throttle response, more precise shifts, and an overall firmer driving feel after the upgrade. Especially in manual vehicles, the typical drivetrain play during load changes is significantly reduced. Additionally, a worn or sagging OEM bearing can cause vibrations, which are often reduced by the more stable JXB solution.

The two-piece design allows for installation without disassembling or removing the entire driveshaft. The system is mounted directly around the existing center bearing. This makes the upgrade suitable for spirited street vehicles, track cars, or vehicles with increased engine power.

The system is available in different hardness levels:

Street is ideal for sporty street vehicles with minimal additional power transmission and fewer vibrations.

Track uses significantly harder bushings for maximum precision and directness in the drivetrain.

Note:
Depending on the chosen bushing hardness, additional noise or vibrations may occur in the interior. The Track version, in particular, is clearly designed for performance.

When cutting away the rubber bearing, please make sure not to cut away too much at once. It's better to cut a little first and test fit it. If too much is cut off, it will be difficult.
