Killer B | Oil Pickup Filter (Weak Point Sealant) | FA24 | GR86 & BRZ II

The FA24 engines in the second-generation Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ are now known for excess sealant in the oil circuit. Due to production processes, silicone residues can detach in the engine and, in the long term, partially block the OEM oil pickup screen. This is precisely where the Killer B Motorsport Oil Pickup Pre-Filter comes in.

We do not want to participate in or reinforce the panic surrounding this problem. In our opinion, this is simply a generally helpful mod if the oil pan is already off to install an oil baffle plate.

The pre-filter is installed directly in front of the factory oil pickup screen and captures larger silicone and sealant residues early on, before they can clog the actual oil pickup. Thanks to its significantly larger filter surface compared to the OEM screen, oil flow remains stable even with partial blockage.

The specially textured surface also reduces the adhesion of silicone residues, making deposits easier to remove during oil changes. According to Killer B, the material was specially developed for continuous use in engine oil and tested up to 300°F.

Another advantage: The pre-filter can help maintain more stable oil supply at low oil levels and during aggressive cornering by reducing flow losses. At the same time, the solution remains maintenance-friendly, as the filter can be checked relatively easily during oil changes.

Installation is via a Sure-Lock clip system and does not require removal of the OEM oil pickup. This makes the system ideal as a preventive protective measure for GR86 and BRZ vehicles driven sportily - whether on the road, highway, or racetrack.
