One of the most common misdiagnoses on the first-generation Toyobaru is leaky taillights. Often, adventurous tutorials on YouTube show how to take the entire taillight apart in the oven, and then the lens usually doesn't seal properly. However, in an estimated 80% of cases, it is completely sufficient to simply replace the outer seal offered here!

The seal is an original Toyota spare part, but it fits all accessory headlights of the GT86/BRZ I pre-facelift and facelift. Depending on the model, for example, for Valenti Revos, you may need to cut off a small corner to avoid covering the relays, but fundamentally, the seals fit all taillights, as the mounting bolts are always the same. For aftermarket seals, we tend to recommend the FL seals as a more precise fit, as you don't need the opening to change the bulb due to the LEDs.

The seals differ minimally between pre-facelift and facelift. In terms of dimensions, they are identical, but the VFL still has a second small hole for changing the light bulb, which has been omitted in the FL seal and thus seals more completely.
